Around Paris this Week

Les "Catherinettes" were unmarried women over 25, many of whom worked in the rag trade. They had an annual ball, and this 1908 sculpture dedicated to "The Women Workers of Paris" suggests they had a lot of fun.

Glad to see the sex shop on Rue de Seze behind La Madeleine finally closed its doors. It's been a blight for years.
